Ideal Appearance Without Breaking Bones: Tipplasty (Nose Tip Aesthetics)
If you are happy with the bone structure and arch of your nose, and only the drooping or widening of your nasal tip bothers you, the solution is: Tipplasti. Achieve an elegant and lifted nasal tip that best suits your face in a very short time, without bruising or swelling.
What is Tipplasti and how does it differ from classic rhinoplasty?
Tipplasty (Mini Rhinoplasty) is a surgical procedure that does not involve any intervention in the nasal bones, such as breaking or filing them; instead, only the cartilage and soft tissues at the tip of the nose are reshaped. It is a much less invasive operation compared to classic rhinoplasty. The recovery time is very short. Our goal is to bring the nasal tip to its ideal angle (rotation), narrow it if it is wide, and achieve a harmonious and elegant appearance that complements the face.
- Those who have no problem with the nasal bridge but have a drooping nasal tip.
- People whose noses droop downwards when they smile
- Those with wide or asymmetrical nostrils
- "Those who have a wide and misshapen nose tip that looks "like a ball"
- Patients who are afraid of bone fractures and want a quick recovery.
A small detail can determine the beauty of the whole.
The tip of the nose is the most important feature determining the character of the face. Many of my patients come to me saying 'my whole nose is big,' but when we analyze it, we see that just slimming and lifting the tip of the nose (Tipplasty) can change the entire facial expression. At Dr. Nurten Küçük, my principle in this procedure is not just to reduce the size of the cartilage, but to support it with strong suturing techniques to prevent it from sagging again over time due to gravity.
Comfortable and Short Time
The procedure, which does not involve bone manipulation, usually takes 45-60 minutes. It can be comfortably performed under local anesthesia or light sedation, depending on the patient's preference.
Bruise-free healing
Since the nasal bone is not fractured, there will be no bruising around the eyes. There may only be slight swelling at the tip of the nose. Small bandages or a light splint will be used to protect the tip of the nose for 1 week.
Quick Return to Social Life
Recovery is much faster compared to classic rhinoplasty. Your bandages will be removed in 5-7 days, and you can immediately return to your social life with your new, elegant nose tip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the tip of my nose droop again after tipplasty surgery?
No. During surgery, the cartilage at the tip of the nose is reinforced with permanent sutures and, if necessary, with supports (grafts) made from your own cartilage. This ensures that the resulting lift and shape are permanent.
Will this surgery also remove the hump on my nose?
No, Tipplasti only addresses issues related to the tip of the nose. If you have a hump or bone curvature on the bridge of your nose, you should opt for "Rhinoplasty" or "Piezo Rhinoplasty" surgery. We will decide on this together during the examination.
Can I have it done with local anesthesia?
Yes, since the bone is not broken, Tipplasty surgeries can be performed safely and painlessly with local anesthesia (numbing only the nose). However, general anesthesia or sedation is also frequently preferred for patient comfort.
Will there be any traces?
When performed using the open technique, a millimeter-sized incision is made in the nasal passage, but this scar fades and becomes invisible over time. If the closed technique is suitable, all incisions remain inside the nose, and no external scar is visible.
