Surgery and Hospitalization
The procedure takes approximately 2-3 hours. To ensure a comfortable post-operative period, you will only stay in the hospital for one night and can be discharged the next day.
The First Week
Thanks to modern surgical techniques, bruising and swelling are minimal. The protective splint on the nose is removed after 7 days, and you can return to your social life and work.
Lasting Results
Most of the swelling subsides within the first month. The nose takes its final shape and the tissues heal completely, depending on the patient's skin type, and this takes between 6 months and 1 year.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I experience a lot of pain after the surgery?
No, contrary to popular belief, rhinoplasty does not cause severe pain. Mild discomfort and a feeling of fullness that may be felt in the first few days can be easily controlled with simple painkillers.
Will they put a gauze tampon in my nose? Will it hurt when they remove it?
We no longer use old-fashioned gauze tampons. We use grooved silicone splints that allow you to breathe comfortably, don't stick to the tissue, and cause no pain or bleeding when removed.
Is there an age limit for rhinoplasty?
We generally expect women to be 17 and men 18 years old, as bone and cartilage development needs to be complete. There is no upper age limit as long as your general health permits.
Is it possible to create any nose shape I desire?
Our patients' expectations are very important to us, but the main determining factors are your anatomical structure, skin thickness, and cartilage strength.
