However, in individuals with structurally narrow ear canals, those who work in dusty environments, or, most commonly, those who use cotton swabs, this secretion is pushed inward, onto the eardrum. The accumulated, hardened, and clogged cerumen can cause sudden and severe hearing loss, a feeling of fullness in the ear, and tinnitus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div involved spraying pressurized water into the ear with large syringes (ear irrigation). However, this old method can cause severe dizziness in the patient and carries the risk of perforation or damage to an undetected, thinned eardrum. At Dr. Nurten K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck&#039;s clinic, my approach to ear cleaning is entirely modern and safety-focused. I always perform the procedure under an ENT examination microscope or endoscope, magnifying the inside of the ear on a large screen. I gently remove the hardened earwax using special micro-curettes or thin vacuum (aspirator) devices.
