Our goal in treatment is not to mask the odor with mint gum, but to permanently eliminate the source (stones, inflammation, or acid) that produces this To find a solution, I perform a detailed olfactory mapping using a camera (endoscope), starting from the inside of the nose and going all the way to the vocal cords. If the problem is stones in the tonsil pockets, I flatten these pockets with laser\/radiofrequency (cryptolysis), or if the odor is very persistent, I completely remove the tonsils to eradicate the problem at its root.
